NBC pick up Outsourced!

NBC has decided to produce our pilot script for Outsourced. Ken Kwapis (director of The Office pilot) will direct it. If all goes well we may have a global workplace comedy on network TV very soon! Fingers crossed. Read the announcement in Variety HERE.

Can you inform me where they are getting cast from. I'm very interested in being apart of the show. I'm a talent here in KC. They call me Indian with an American twist because I'm known as an ABCD. :) Please check out my website at www.RinaRMehta.com.

Thank you kindly,

Could you please produce part 2 of the Outsourced! Please, Please!! It would be interesting to see the second part with where Asha and Todd unite and how Peru does in China-

Wow this is so exciting! After I saw the film via Netflix last week I've been raving about it since and telling all my friends and watchers on FaceBook to watch this movie and now to hear that there's going to be a series based on 'Outsource" is amazing! And the thing that makes it down-right FANTASTIC is that it's directed by the same guys as The Office although I do hope you original writers/directors have a part in it since you guys put the perfect life to the story and characters. Thanks for the wonderful, inspirational movie and good luck! :) :) :)

just watched Outsourced. what a sweet movie! nice work, John.

so how'd the "series" ever turn out?

yes i know this is a long shot but oh well. i'm sitting here in South Dakota, somewhat home to "Smoke Signals". that's my far-reaching connection to John Jeffcoat + Shadowcatcher Entertainment.

i'm looking for a foot in the door...for some more acting opps. but hell i'll take care of folks with "jelly belly" if need be to get things rolling.

i trained at improv olympic + annoyance theatre + second city from 95-97. performed in a few shorts here and there. i realize i'm a far cry from your normal "professionals". but i come with humility and a thirst for belonging to a culture of filmmakers...a place i know i can add value to...a place i know i belong.

thanks for listening, John. very inspiring work of art you brought to life with Outsourced;-)

Sat Sri Akal John ji! Ughhhhh I am soooooo happy that this has come to tv! I was sick to death of stuff promoting western girls with eastern guys (and hope we won't see that in the series), but I was soooo refreshed when my husband suggested I see the film. I was unsure at first wether to see it but gave it a shot and I love it. I hoped Todd would have come away with our kuri on the end, but hope he'll find a desi girl and refresh us with a western guy falling in love with an eastern girl! I wrote about the movie in my blog about how the west exploits the east - but filed it under nice stories and examples of respectful stuff. The story was so great! You simply rock! I hope this show does really well and the naysayers shut their ugly mouths haha :)

Also adding in here - im making my rounds where people have said nasty things about the idea of this, and setting them straight, and the bombay rockers were brilliant. you have brought something fresh and truly interesting as well as fun! I hope the tv show will have the same quality level the movie did! im glad to see how many positive people are showing up on your blog. rock on, im bookmarking your blog btw...

Mr. John Sab,
My Peace Corps group, that lived in India for 2 years, screened "Outsourced" at or 44 year reunion and laughed 'til we cried. Great work ... so spot on.
We have some great ideas if any are needed ...

just wanted to play catch up...so far the tv version is slightly different but soooooooooo cool! please keep it as great as it is, i don't watch much tv anymore because it's usually crap. this is the best on american tv! so far it's notty yet hilarious and still respects the culture pretty well! it's lmost like a mini bolly filmi every week.
