I saw the film yesterday at the Moulins festival and absolutely loved it! I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it, beacause the audience laughed a lot and clapped hands at the end. Unfortunately we were told the film would not be distributed in France and we would have to wait for the Hollywood remake. What a shame.
Marie-Pierre,
Thanks for the comment, I'm glad to hear the film was well received. We don't know yet if the film will not be released in France, there is still a possibility. Our release in Germany has gone very well and we're hoping that will drive interest in the rest of Europe.
Fingers crossed. - à bientôt
I saw that pearl during a flight to Malaysia, and I am looking since then for announcement in France, or a DVD with french subtitles to share this with my wife (another pearl) in the meantime. I am sure it would be very well received in France (and I know theaters that would be pleased to), likely better as is than an Hollywood remake.
Best wishes
