Outsourced Soundtrack available

For those of you who saw they movie and have been curious about getting a soundtrack, it is now available on our website WWW.OUTSOURCEDTHEMOVIE.COM at the Outsourced Store.

We've expanded several of the songs so that this is not a soundtrack of 30 second music clips but an album that can stand on it's own. You can listen to a few of the tracks on the audio player of my page in our online community.

I'll try and incorporate a music player with tracks from the sountrack in this blog soon.

There's a very grainy behind-the-scenes video of a guitarist laying down a track for the song "Ishq Mushq" or "Holiday in Goa" here:

A music video for the song "Holi Aayi" will be coming soon.

We're working on it. It's been tough juggling all the licensing for the international and internet territories. Hopefully we'll have it readily available soon!

Georg,

I was told you should be able to order the soundtrack directly from our website (http://www.outsourcedthemovie.com. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be available anywhere in Germany. I do hope it ends up on iTunes at some point! But for now, the only option is our website.

Just saw the film for the first time. Enjoyed it and loved the music. The video of the guitar work is great. Thanks for posting it. Kind of makes it that much more real.

Dr G...wanted to tell u that both my husband and i LOVED your film! there are so many films about western girls who pretend to love indians and other eastern culture people, and it's shameful. but you have shown a light on the lesser seen western men who love the eastern girls and the flip side - that western boys can have more respect for eastern girls than western girls have for anyone. the film was funny and sweet. i hope it becomes a serial...i hope it comes to the telly!

Wow, incredible soundtrack. Chilling songs! Ran to itunes immediately and nothing is there :( I hope you get them on. As an international relations/world literature teacher in an American high school I see tremendous value in showing this and helping teach our kids empathy, cultural understanding, and humanity. Very emotional movie - somehow squeezed in so many aspects of Indian culture and thankfully, the "ugly American" became a hero.

this was a classy movie, even if the salesmen were selling 'tacky' stuff.

holiday in goa ?? i'm an indian who has been outsourced to america for the last 10 years...this was new to me.

we enjoyed the movie! the first one that doesn't offend any of the cultures.

Great film, pokes gentle fun at both US and Indian culture. Really enjoyed the music -- we had a little dance around the coffee table at the end of the movie ;-).

I would buy the soundtrack from either iTunes or eMusic. Hope to see it there soon!

Did anything come about for this amazing sountrack to be available internationally? I am in Canada and would like a copy either form Itunes or any other means.

The song is called "Hum Tumhen Chahte Hain" and can be found on 'The Best of Bollywood -15 Classic Hits from the Indian Cinema'. The rights were too expensive to have included it on the Outsourced soundtrack!

Just saw this movie for the first time and have to say "I'm impressed". Classy production and good writing, and top notch acting can be better entertainment than stuff from 'glitz hollywood'. Will put it on a par with "Off The Map".

still didnt get the song im looking for"ranjha ranjha karde apaa ranjha hue, apaa ranjha hue."

The song that comes in at 1:07:35 is in fact "Hum Tumhen Chahte Hain {Qurbani}" by Kanchan, Manhar & Anand. The song runs about 7 minutes. The section of the song used in the film is about 3:30 into the song. The song sounds very different in the beginning.
This is the song, but this version does not have the section used in Outsourced: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=injlNuvSXMY&feature=related
